Stories are what bring us together, inspire us, and bridge the gaps across time to other people and places. My love of stories began as soon as I could read. My favorite books were those about historical and legendary figures - from Laura Ingalls Wilder to King Arthur and Robin Hood.  I love all things steeped in rich historical context and especially stories that bring the everyday to life and show us how similar we are to our forefathers.

When not writing or reading, you can usually find me gardening, baking, hiking, or spending time with my family on our small farm near the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. My hobbies include period sewing, historical cookery, gardening, and other projects that spark my imagination and immerse me in the lives of my dearest friends...(ahem, characters).
